Fandriana Graphite Prospect is located at around 135km south from Antananarivo. Mineralization in the prospect area corresponds to the flake type graphite deposit.

Graphite occurs as dissemination within the mica schist hosted in the para-sedimentary rocks unit of Paleo Proterozoic age of Ambatolampy and Manampotsy group.

Two bands of mineralization were identified in the phase-1 surface mapping studies. About 40 million tonnes of graphite ore at 8% TGC is estimated for the two identified bands. The contained graphite will be 3.2 million tonnes. A higher portion of jumbo flakes flakes is noted in the Fandriana Prospect.

Gold Mineralisation is also noted within the license area and PRGR is presently carrying out detailed exploration.
